Education tax planning
Many federal tax incentives or credits are available to families with expenses for a student or students in college. These include:
- Lifetime Learning Credit
- Education Savings Bonds
- 529 savings plans
- Coverdell Education Savings Accounts
- Student Loan Interest Deduction
