Class Descriptions

Spinning: Is a unique indoor stationary cycling program that is one of the hottest classes in the local community. This class is for people of all ages and fitness levels and is NOT just a "hard-core" fitness program for elite athletes. Although not required, bring your bike shorts, hand towel, and water bottle for this class. *Limited to 20 patrons. 

Water Fitness: An upright pool workout that focuses on aerobic intensity and muscle toning. Swimming itself is not included in the workout. Join us for a low - to no - impact workout!

Interval Training: This class alternates high intensity bursts of cardio with body sculpting exercises. The ultimate body-shaping, fat-burning, and strength training class!

Yoga: Combines the best of Yoga flow (Vinyasa) and core workout, to strengthen the core while lengthening and invigorating the entire body. These classes are mixed level - the instructor offers options for both beginners and seasoned students in the same class, in an ongoing flow of movement. You can make the class just the right level of challenge and ease that you need each day. You will soon notice changes in what you can do and how you feel!

Deep Water Fitness: Same as the ever popular Water Fitness class; however, this class is taught predominantly in the deep water of the pool. Swimming itself is not included in the workout. 

Lengthen & Strengthen:  Improve your flexibility and strength with this class that will work to tone and lengthen your muscles through stretching, light cardio, and circuits.

Routines feature interval training sessions, with fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training to tone and sculpt the body while burning fat. Workout, get hooked, and experience an exhilarating hour of calorie burning!

STRONG by Zumba: combines upbeat rhythms with high intensity cardio and strength conditioning moves to fire your fitness level up a notch. The class includes plyometrics, core and functional training using your body weight as resistance. The class incorporates the proven high intensity interval training method known as HIIT, while adding tempo. Exercise selections can be modified to make the class accessible for the less conditioned participant as well as push a well-conditioned participant.

Guts, Butts, Thighs: Sculpt, shape, and strengthen your core, glutes, quads, hamstrings, and calves in this 45-minute workout. Various exercises, equipment, and techniques will be used. Intervals of high intensity cardio and strength and toning will be sure to get your heart pumping and muscles burning! This class is mixed level, everyone is welcome. *Please arrive early, if possible, to set up your equipment.

Registration Begins: October 1, 2017 classes are limited

Classes Begin: Tuesday, September 5, 2017

Classes Held: October 23, 24, 25, 30. November 1, 6, 7, 8.

Cost: $50.00 - $70.00 a session (8 lessons per session)

Adults may swim with children during the practice time if they are members or they may purchase a day pass.

Parent and Tots (Itty Bitties): 4 Months and Up.

Focuses on water comfort and play. Parent or other caring adult in the water and responsible for the safety of the infant/toddler. Swim diapers must be worn, as well as a swim suit.

Level 1 Lessons: Beginner, ages 4+

Focuses on water safety, floating, submerging, paddling and beginning swim stroke skills. Limited to maximum 5 children in class. Child must be comfortable in water and willing/able to listen to instructor. Swim diapers must be worn if not 100% toilet trained.

Level 2 Lessons: Master skills in Level 1

This class will continue to focus on safety skills, water comfort and beginning swim strokes on front and back, able to submerge independently. One half hour of free swim follows instruction time, with parent supervision. Limited to maximum 7 children in class.

Level 3 Lessons: Master skills in Level 2

This class will work on improving front and back crawl, begin elementary backstroke, treading, underwater swimming and diving. Child should be able to freestyle and backstroke for a minimum of 5 yards and can use side breathing in freestyle. One half hour of free swim follows instruction time, with parent supervision. Limited to a maximum of 7 children in class. 

Level 4 Lessons: Advanced, master skills in Level 3, requires instructors permission

This class will work on refining free, back, elementary back and diving. Child should be able to swim the whole length of pool in several strokes. One half hour free swim precedes instruction time, half of that time a "team like" workout will be available. Maximum of 10 cihldren in class. 

PLEASE NOTE: All classes are subject to minimum enrollment and will be cancelled if minimum enrollment is not met.
