Randall Shrock '68 majored in History. As a student he participated in study abroad. Randall completed his Ph.D. in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1980.
Randall's greatest Earlham involvement has been his 40 years of teaching. He was a professor of history for 40 years (1974-2013) but was also a professor of history and education (1994-2005) and even the founding director (2001-05) of Earlham's Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) program. He was heavily involved in the Humanities Program and teacher education.
Randall resides in Richmond, Ind. He began his term on the Alumni Council in Fall 2013. Looking back at his time at Earlham, his favorite memories include falling in love with Alice Almond at Welliver's Hagerstown Smorgasboard and presenting daughter, Rachel, with her Earlham diploma as she crossed Chase Stage in 2005.
