Our signature program, the Epic Journey, is all about connecting students with the resources that will set them up for success, even after they’ve graduated. It’s a four-year plan to connect what they learn inside the classroom with meaningful experiences to apply what they’ve learned outside the classroom. After four years, they’ll be ready to launch into their chosen path after Earlham—whether that’s a career, graduate school, full-time volunteer work or something else entirely.

As part of their Epic Journey, students will gain access to the Epic Advantageour guarantee that every student can receive funding up to $5,000 to pursue a career-discerning experience, such as an internship or research opportunity.

Earlham students have used their Epic Advantage to intern at places like NASA, Microsoft and the Smithsonian. They’ve conducted research alongside geology and computer science faculty in Iceland, worked with pre-health faculty in addressing public health inequities in the Dominican Republic and much more.

We’re consistently ranked one of the country’s “Best Value” colleges by The Princeton Review, and The New York Times ranks us 13th on their College-Access Index for our commitment to economic diversity. We’re committed to widening the path to an Earlham education for qualified students from all backgrounds, which is why we award scholarships, grants, loans and student employment to those showing high academic achievement and creative expression, those who demonstrate financial need and more. In fact, every student is automatically considered for a merit scholarship up to $40,000.

Scholarship Spotlight: The INspire Earlham Program

Through the INspire Earlham Program, income-eligible Indiana students can now attend Earlham College tuition-free.

That’s right—we’re offering free tuition to Indiana students whose families are eligible for Pell and State of Indiana grants and earn up to $60,000 per year.

Why? Because we believe a nationally-ranked liberal arts education should be as accessible as it is life-changing. By widening the path to a four-year college education for Indiana students, we’re ensuring that the people the world most needs are given the tools and opportunities to succeed and to be catalysts for good.
