International students are admitted in the Fall Semester so they can participate in New Student Orientation, which includes special sessions specifically for international students. In addition to a regular academic adviser, a special adviser works closely with international students on matters of immigration issues, cultural adaptation and practical concerns.

Application Instructions for International Students

Requirements
Application Form Complete the Common Application or the Universal College Application., in English.
Application Fee $35 (non-refundable) - Fee waivers are available to candidates with financial hardship. Please discuss your situation with an admission staff member.
Official Secondary School Records and Exam Results Ask your school to forward these official documents to Earlham.
Two Recommendations To be completed by your school counselor and the teacher of your choice.
Standardized Test Scores TOEFL/IELTS and/or SAT/ACT as appropriate.
Your school official may submit certified photocopies.
The SAT I and TOEFL code for Earlham is 1195.
International Financial Aid Application Download and complete the International Financial Aid Application (PDF). Return the completed form to Susan Hillmann de Castaneda (intl-admissions@earlham.edu), Director of International Recruitment.

Deadlines

Spring Semester
Application materials due by: November 1
Find out if you are admitted by: December 1
Pay your enrollment confirmation deposit by: December 15

You must submit the International Student Financial Aid Application (PDF) or, if your family is able to pay all of the costs of attendance, the Certification of Finances (PDF). Please do NOT send both forms with your application. All financial aid decisions for international students are made by the Admission Office, therefore, you do not need to contact the Financial Aid Office during the application process.
Early Decision
Application materials due no later than: November 1
Find out if you are admitted no later than: December 15
Pay your enrollment confirmation deposit no later than: January 15
You must sign an Early Decision Agreement and agree to withdraw applications to other colleges if admitted. 
You must submit the International Student Financial Aid Application (PDF) or, if your family is able to pay all of the costs of attendance, the Certification of Finances (PDF). Please do NOT send both forms with your application. All financial aid decisions for international students are made by the Admission Office, therefore, you do not need to contact the Financial Aid Office during the application process.
Early Action
