SophoMORE Summit provides currernt and rising sophomores with a variety of personality, leadership, and vocational tools for success. Students will learn how to connect their Earlham education to personalized career aspirations. This program will take place both on Earlham’s campus as well as in Indianapolis, Indiana.

This EPIC Term is sponsored by the Center for Career and Community Engagement.

SophoMORE Summit …

  • is a five-day leadership experience for students who will start their sophomore or junior year at Earlham in the Fall semester.
  • is a highly interactive course where students will explore their personal strengths.
  • will provide students with skills to become leaders on and off-campus.
  • teaches students how to make decisions that support their personal goals, values, and interests.
  • prepares students for potential vocational and career exploration.

SophoMORE Summit ...

  • is a non-credit bearing five-day experience, running from Sunday, August 13, through Friday, August 18, prior to the beginning of the Fall semester. It is led by faculty of Earlham’s Center for Career and Community Engagement.
  • Leadership and team building activities
  • Strengths and skills assessment
  • Exploration of majors and career choices
  • Day trip to Indianapolis, Indiana to discover different careers based on students' interests
  • Alumni networking
  • Community service project in Richmond, Indiana

Faculty Coordinators:


  • Program fee of $225
  • Includes all expenses during the program - accommodations, all meals and equipment, transportation.
